Blast The Hedge-cat

Blast is the son of Sonic and Blaze. As a rare 1 in 100 hybrid child, his parents were expecting to get either a cat or a hedgehog, but were pleasantly surprised to learn that he was both. 

Personality-wise, Blast takes more after his mother Blaze. He enjoys a structured life and cares a lot about his responsibilities. He enjoys playfully referring to his father as "vagabond", "boor", "peasant king", and generally flexing his vocabulary in other ways. He's actually quite fond of Knuckles' devotion to guarding the Master Emerald and views him as a mentor figure. 

Blast has the ability to shoot plasma bolts offensively and also to propel himself quickly along the ground and just a bit through the air.

Blast is mainly motivated to become a worthy guardian of the Time Stones (Sol Diamonds). Sonic and Blaze are worried about this and want him to make friends and enjoy his childhood before it's gone.
