Background: 

Elanore grew up in a small common village, residing in a territory with mixed cultures of modern technology but still following old forms of governing structures. Her family was located in the lands under charge of the Alden family, who were granted the title of Baron.
By the time Elanore had grown up, Florence Alden had been declared the heiress and to be the next lord of the land.

Since Elanore had grown up in a small town, her folks did farm work or other various jobs to get by. From a young age, she had a large interest in plants, eventually becoming well known as an expert in the field by the towns in the area. 
At some point word spread, and Florence called Elanore to her home, offering to sponsor her studies and requested her to become a botanist under the Alden family. An offer that Elanore could not take a chance to pass up. 
After finishing her schooling and starting to work for Florence, Elanore was working with farmers all across the territory. Between helping them find the best methods to grow plants, studying new plants, and even discovering new uses for different plants, the territory had started thriving much more thanks to her efforts. A fact that was not ignored and she was rewarded greatly for.

Notes: 
~ grew to become close friends with Florence and some of the staff working directly with her
~ although she works with many farms, she mostly handles any work or communication with Regina 
~ has a bit of a morbid interest in dangerous plants
~ makes frequent visits to areas that have high concentrations of magic to study plant mutations caused by the magic in the area
