Hex

Hex is a red-tailed hawk/coyote hybrid and is Silas' traveling companion. He's the type to shoot first and ask questions later when it comes to strangers, but back home he's the most caring and protective guy you could know. He's always looking out for others in his 'pack', and while he doesn't care too much for Silas' mission, he's happy to accompany his friend and watch his back.

Hex openly embraces being a hybrid and does not want to change. But he often trims his feathers and talons to make him look more domestic when he's travelling in less hybrid-friendly territory. He can be quite convincing as a normal coyote if you don't look too closely.
