Nikk's mom, Amalthea is a trans lesbian and incredibly skilled smith and a gentle soul. She has her own smithy, and is known far and wide for her craft. When she was still an apprentice she met Kőris and they had a sweet, but ultimately short romance, the result being Nikk himself. Since then she married the woman of her dreams and she has three kids with her.
(And yes, she named herself after her favourite book character, who she resignated with deeply in her early youth.)
