Having lived through a lot of world changes and academic careers, Deemus still refuses to retire, determined to keep up the spirit of learning in kids. His experience and wisdom are only impeded by his imagination always running wild, though it's endearing to hear a rambling fun story or two from an old man. He might be a little moody and stubborn, but who wouldn't be at his age? They say sea turtle echidnas can live up to a hundred years, and he's determined to set a new record

  So so very old and knowledgeable, though eccentric in his expertise. Thinks of the biggest picture and has larger than life ideas, but only considers what others can bring to his projects rather than what his projects can do for people. Trails off into passionate daydreaming about what used to be and what could've been. Loves alternate history and speculative fiction

  Takes things very seriously, though often comes off as a bit comical. At school cares more for the subject than the students; rarely simplifies any matter for anyone, even if it'd help them understand better. Slow, but purposeful and resolute; finds it hard to change his direction once he starts going, so he doesn't make choices lightly. Becomes confused and paralyzed in critical situations

  Rather nosy, set on analyzing the situations between people and finding out what's going on, but a private person himself. Proves his points with facts, and thus cannot be convinced otherwise. In conflicts becomes grumpy, defensive and unresponsive, feeling hurt that you would even argue with him about such clear cut issues

  Generally tries to maintain neutral relationships, but sometimes can't help making a critical remark. For him, it's more sincere to talk of shortcomings than making compliments. Tries to smooth out the bad impression after the fact. Has a vulnerable sense of self-worth, often secretly needs support and encouragement, but doesn't like seeming dependent on anyone. Might lighten up to get closer to someone, but if not reciprocated, immediately shuts back down

  Intense about his interests first and foremost, but can be carefully invested in new things if you sell them well. Opens up when he finds a good listener, though assumes you already understand his thought process. Good luck trying to chime in once he finds an interesting topic. Rambles under his breath a lot

  Would rather focus on work than compete with people. Feels awkward claiming any material privileges or rewards for himself, but has a weak self-discipline. Indulges in his little funny hedonistic things and quirky hobbies when he thinks no one's looking
