Aravanster is obsessed with the dead and the macabre, but is sweet and incredibly sympathetic. Despite his somewhat worrying powerset and his passion for death, he would never harm someone, even to protect himself. He would, however, harm someone to protect someone he cares about.
Aravanster is a very genuine, intelligent person. He is good at keeping a level head in bad situations, and can usually figure out a solution, or at least a temporary fix. He has an affinity for noticing small details, especially when it comes to people, and hence is quite good at quickly spotting who he does and doesn't want to be around. He is very up-front and doesn't like to lie or beat around the bush, which can sometimes come across as blunt or uncaring. He has a bad habit of never lying when the social situation would call for it, which can result in unintended hurt feelings.
Aravanster was born 23 years ago in the Lavender Maplewoods, as the middle child of 5 siblings. Though his parents tried their best to give him attention and care, he was given the least care out of his siblings, and very much noticed that this was the case. He grew up quite unhappy, feeling like he was in some way being singled out in this lack of attention. When he became a teenager, he began delving into the dark arts, hoping this usage of typically 'evil' magic might get his parents' attention. Despite complaints from his four siblings, his parents were not concerned whatsoever about this usage, and hence it did not result in the attention he had hoped for. Aravanster soon, however, realized that he genuinely enjoyed this form of magic. As he began focusing more on this newfound passion and less on his want for affection, he found himself feeling happier, albeit still lonely. Aravantster gradually began to meet others, who shared his interest in these darker magics. He befriended several, including his fellow necromancers and now-girlfriends Veryia, Gleaming Shard, and Versatile Flower Fields. He still gets a little annoyed when he feels he's being ignored, but his want for attention is no longer debilitating. The group recently moved to the Iridescent Meadow, with Tyrdil and Iesi's permission, soon after Aravanster met Tyrdil through Veryia.
Little bone-shaped horn decorations, carved from birch wood to mimic real bones. Aravanster made them when he was 16, and considers them to be good luck.
Aravanster does not have a physical weapon.
A spell that brings the dead back to life semi-permanantly. Any wounds or illness the dead raised may have had will be reversed, and there will be no visible signs that they were deceased. This can be done on any being that was once alive. Those revived by a necromancer are under that necromancer's control, but Aravanster refuses to control anybody he brings back to life. This spell also worsens the infection of anyone it is used on, if they are infected.
A spell that reverses Raise the Dead. This is typically utilized if another necromancer is using the first spell for cruel means, whether this be towards who they've raised or towards others. It will kill any being revived using necromancy. This spell usually has no effect on the living, but it does slightly lessen the infection if someone infected is struck with this spell.
Being a necromancer, Aravanster cannot become infected.
Aravanster's oldest partner. The two are childhood friends and have been dating for 8 years.
Aravanster's second partner. He met them while he and Veryia were working on their magic, and became close after the three bonded over their passion for necromancy. They have been dating for 6 years.
Aravanster's most recent partner. The two met while Aravanster was trying to mediate between Tyrdil and her ex, and became close due to how often they crossed paths. They have been dating for 2 years.
A good friend of Aravanster's. The two being the unofficial 'leaders' of their friend groups means the two talk often, typically setting up things for the rest of their friends to do. The two often will search for food and supplies together, and hence have become close friends despite their short time knowing each other.
One of Aravanster's friends. They've known each other quite a long time, and are very close. They've drawn apart a bit recently, due to Tyrdil's major distrust of Scellu.
One of Aravanster's more recent friends. They became friends when Aravanster brought back Dryvir's mother.
Being the cause of the Infection, and currently infecting many of his friends, Aravanster naturally doesn't like her.
