"Reaper is not his name, it is his job"

》The Next Reaper

A new Reaper is chosen when the previous Reaper fails to execute someone on the "To-Die" List. The former Reaper will perish, and a lucky soul stranded in Purgatory will be granted the status of an Angel, and befitted with the role of the next Reaper. Usually, the soul who has taken the most lives in their lifetime will be given the job. Souls in purgatory do not remember their past lives, so it is up to the royal Archangels to determine who has killed the most.

》A Plague

He was patient zero, the first infected with one of the deadliest disease known to mankind. The plague entered his body when he rubbed his right eye (this is why you should wash your hands before touching your eyes, kids), but because he was quite healthy, he didn't die as quickly as he should have. He only lost his vision, starting with his infected eye. Unintentionally, he spread the plague to millions before dying of it himself.

Because his killings were not of malice, his mememory was wiped, and he was sent to wander in Purgatory forever as an aimless soul. That is, until an Archangel would choose him to be the next Reaper, and finally give him a purpose. So merciful the Archangel was, to rescue him from a dull eternity.

》A Blind Angel

An Angel must be seen as something pure and powerful. Any visible physical injuries are a sign of weakness. Thus, upon becoming the Reaper, and thus an Angel, his wounds were healed, and his vision restored. However his right eye was never fully restored, as it was his cause of death. He was given an eyepatch to hide it. Though he hates wearing it, as it restricts his vision.

A Reaper must kill everyone on the list. It does not matter if it leaves a child without a mother, or if it leaves a family without a breadwinner. Reaper does not want to die a second time. And who is he to go against Heaven's Laws, or doubt an Archangel's words? Surely they cannot be corrupted. Surely the people on the List are truly meant to be there. Salvation to those on the List is death.

》Holy Executioner

Reapers execute souls in the Afterlife too. Heaven, and even Hell, have their own laws. Not complying will mean the wiping of the soul from existence. The only time an Archangel is willing to get their hands dirty is when the current Reaper fails to kill.

Angels < Archangels < Seraphs < Thrones

• Angels are supposed to be "perfect," with no physical flaws. He already has one imperfection (his eye), so he dispises it when his skin gets damaged, especially open wounds since they take longer to heal
• Not against smiling. He'll smile if you ask him to. But reaping souls with a smile is not his style
• The 23rd Reaper. The Reapers before him failed to kill someone on the "To-Die" List, and were executed for their failure to comply.
• Total neatfreak. The only time he allows himself to be messy is when he's doing his job
• The plague he died of was the bubonic plague. Some of his dislikes are subconsciously formed
• Really likes sharing his candy with others
• His soul wandered Purgatory for about 600 years. So he's not familiar with some slang
