Qiu Ye

Introduction

A nine-tailed fox spirit who serves as an advisor in the current Dragon Emperor's court, although his relationship with the emperor seems to be much closer than he lets on. His youthful appearance and penchant for mischief belies his true age and wisdom. 

Often serving as the voice of reason for the newly instated emperor, Qiu Ye holds a highly respected position within the court. Yet rumors of his tumultuous past, coupled with longstanding prejudice against his kind, sully his reputation. While his abilities and loyalty are indisputable, many deem him to be undeserving of being a close aide to the emperor. 

Qiu Ye himself pays no heed to such dissent. After all, even if the emperor should find his presence to be undesirable one day, he would be content to simply retire to the countryside and become a fisherman.

Trivia

• He likes tofu and all tofu-related food. His favourite is spicy mapo tofu. 
• He has nine tails, but doesn't always show all of them since they take up too much space.
• He wields an infamous weapon known as the cursed cinnabar blade, which is said to inflict madness upon anyone who tries to draw it out of its sheath other than its rightful owner. It also traps the soul of anyone killed by it. Qiu Ye claims to have acquired the weapon by fishing it out a pond.
