Velspire

Velspire is the only heir to the Fawcutmarn throne, the next in line actually skipping a generation, Velspire will inherit the throne from their/her/his grandparents, skipping their mother. The Fawcutmarn are the enemies of the Kevlarions because they failed to defeat them in a past invasion and had to retreat before everyone was killed in battle, since retreat is a huge embarrassment to the Kevlarions they seek to defeat the Fawcutmarn to make up for it. Velspire also has their own reasons to hate the Kevlarions beyond the hate felt by all Fawcutmarn. The reason Velspire can use they, he, or she is due to the biology of the Fawcutmarn race. They are born as both, and as they mature they make the choice between male and female before their body changes to accommodate. Some, like Velspire, never make that choice and the reason is not explained. So, Velspire will change pronouns, and will change outfits to match when it can be helped to make it easier to know which to use. Velspire suffers from sever PTSD from the time they were actually kidnapped and enslaved by multiple Kevlarions, tortured and abused in just about every way imaginable. In a twisted but fortunate way, because Velspire was shared between multiple Kevlarions a slave collar was never put on them, making rescue possible, which it did after being enslaved for about a year.
