Himmel is the young prince of the seas. He likes to learn and read whenever he isn't assigned a duty by his father. He stumbled upon Cerise while patrolling err doing his study exploration, really. He found Cerise singing to entertain a few young fishes. Seeing her ability to spout words into petals, he became suspiscious of her origins. He kept her close and befriended her as he tried to learn about this unique ability. It was a first for him to see and knew it was not native to the seas. That no oridnary sea folk have this ability as he never heard nor read about this.
Even when he vigorously researched, he never found records detailing this ability. Though, he was able to deduce that Cerise must have been a product of the great migration. The great migration details the humans' attempt to flee the hostile environment in the overworld by jumping to the sea. Though, there has been no records of its success. He decided to not pursue his theories. He kept it as his little secret as he grew fond of her.
That is until he found his father's hidden scroll that enables him to contact a dark wizard, Zeze. In exchange for a part of his life essence, he was able to know the secrets of Cerise's ability. His theory was proven right. Though, he also learned that once Cerise takes in the air in the overworld, she may never return to the seas.
