About
A gentle giant, Freddie is very shy and mild-mannered, preferring to stay away from the action but brave enough to step in when it's clear they're supposed to. They have very low confidence and prefers to keep attention off of themself, something they find difficult given their 6'6, 350lb frame. They are very self conscious about their height and is clearly uncomfortable in their own skin.
Freddie is the head security guard at Pearlie's Playland, as well as the owner's youngest grandchild. They are best friends with Clementine Richie, and uses their status as head security to get her after hours access to the park and joining her on her investigation of Perla's paranormal activity. However, upon learning of her ultimate intention to discover and expose the No-eyed people in Perla, they begin sabotaging her search to keep their family safe.
Design
Appearance
Alfred Escarra is a tall, husky human-omong hybrid with spearmint green eyes, freckled beige skin, and wavy sepia hair styled into a mullet with a cowlick in the front. In their omong form, they have black hair and empty black eyes with streaky marks underneath. They have a very strong, square jaw with broad shoulders. They have round, droopy eyes, a long, flat nose, and large front teeth with a gap. They tend to dress in baggy clothes, with preference for pastel yellows and denim. They also have three piercings on each ear.

- Freddie's eyes lack pupils, as they are both human and omong.
- They are usually covered in band-aids.
- Unlike other omong, Freddie does not glow in the dark.
Background
Freddie was born in 1979 to omong Jessica Drewitt and human Francesco Escarra. Francesco did not know Jessica was not human until after Freddie was born, a revelation that caused him to leave Jessica as fast as possible and never look back. Freddie, though supported by their mother and half-brother, Larkin, was never quite accepted by the rest of their family. Their grandmother, Symphony, did not believe humans to be trustworthy and took this mistrust out on Freddie regularly. She made it as clear as she could that they were the least favorite grandchild whenever she could, effectively ruining Freddies self-image and sense of worth.
Freddie began working as the head security guard when they were 16, and met Clementine the summer of 1998. Though they initially viewed her as nuisance, they quickly started to view her as a friend and used their status as head of security to explore the park after hours with her. At some point during the summer, Clementine admitted she came to Perla to find the "no-eyed people," which Freddie soon realizes are omong. Feeling betrayed, they continued hanging out with her to sabotage her investigation and throw her off.
Relationships
ClementineClementine is Freddie's first and best friend. She began pestering them with questions on her first day in Perla until they ended up breaking her into the park thus cementing each other's friendship and, eventually, lifelong partnership.
LarsFrom the moment Freddie was born, Lars was very protective of them. Though Freddie slightly resents Lars for having the better childhood, the two are very close and would do anything for each other.
SimonAlthough Dez took to Simon instantly, Freddie did not trust him until a little further down the line. By the end of summer, they were almost as close to Simon as they were to Dez.
