Born Marcellus "Marc" Simone in 1820's France, Marc lived a fairly normal life with his parents and four brothers. He is the second oldest of them, but never acted like it. Marc was always the more affectionate, flowy type of man. Though that didn't mean he never brought the ladies home at odd hours of the night.
When he wasn't working, Marc would take facination in the arts. He was not a good painter by any means, but loved going to galleries and trying to re-create things at home. Marc was also facinated by the rising occult that he would see in newspapers and tabloids. Cults, people that drink blood, worshippers of Satan, it all amused him to read or hear about.

Late one night at the bar, Marc was heading home with two of his brothers. Spotting a girl he had once hooked up with, he told them to go on ahead. The two walked and talked, and Marc failed to notice how different she was. Paler, definately. They walk to her place and start getting frisky. Though things quickly take a turn for the worse.
While he was giving attention to her neck, she bit him hard. Shocked, he tries to pull away and feels his own warm blood staining his clothes. Panicking, he pulls back and tries to stop the blood gushing from his neck while yelling french obscenities. She bites herself and has him drink. She wants them to be together forever, but he's quickly getting the hell out of there before she can bite him again.
Weeks after that, Marc would pretty much feel like shit. Drowsy and sleepy during the day, sudden sensitivity to light, getting paler and paler, etc. No doctors had an explaination for him, either. But then it finally clicked that he may have been turned into a vampire.
Finally after a six month transisonary period, Marc became a full-fledged vampire. He had no heart beat anymore, could not eat many human foods, and could no longer go out in the sun. His family worried about him, but he refused to tell anyone what had happened, and especially what he does to the overly-drunk folks when the bar closed.
Two hundred years later, Marc, now Mar, is living his best afterlife. How would he have known that being immortal would be so fun? It has it's upsides and downsides, especially with how his appearance has changed over the decades, but now people just think it's cosplay. It all works out, truly.
He's happier than he ever would be, especially with the bright colored clothing and hair he now sports. Expressing himself is a lot easier now! And dating men is easier now too, added bonus.
Right now, he's works at a Hot Topic and is very popular with how 'dressed up' he gets for work. He also helps out at a friends dive bar some nights.
