Amais grew up in a very dysfunctional family. His sister, Micha, his mom, Judith, His father, Zachary, and his brother, Keith. The only people he could really trust was his mom and sister. Amais was often secluded from his family, too scared to be around them. His father was an ex-police office, becoming an alcoholic and drug addict. His brother, Keith, caught onto his fathers habits quick. His father would R**e his mother, and let Keith watch. Keith soon began to do the same to his sister, Micha. Micha grew depressed and suicidal. His brother and father would also hit and verbally abuse them, all while Amais watched.

Amais was the only thing keeping Micha alive, and the pressure became too much for his mom, who then commit suicide. Micha ran away with her brother, Amais. Years later, Amais was unstable and anxious, always nervous and secluded. When he reached 18, he developed a red string around his pinky. He had gotten a soulmate. He met Dean a while after, and they started off strong. Though, soon it became a disaster. Dean would verbally and emotionally abuse Amais, soon progressing to physical and sexual abuse. Amais thought it was his fault, and that he deserved this life. However, he met another man, Heath. Heath had been one of the first people Amais felt comfortable with.

One night, Dean had gotten intense, and Amais panicked, attacking Dean out of self defense, killing him on accident. His red string faded, and he hid away with his sister for a while. No one had suspected Amais as Dean never told anyone of his soulmate, having been ashamed of Amais. And he lived in a crime-filled area for a while so it wasn't out of the ordinary. However, his lack of a soulmate led him to developing feelings for Heath, which would lead him to the happiest moments in his life.
