HER!!!!! Perdita is Literally Me, but she's also a LOT of other things, including an incomprehensible nightmare of an entity that should not exist. As a child, Rosie was manipulated into attempting to re-create Ophelia, in order to "replace" Kismet's dead family. The person telling her to do this advised her to use 100% of Ophelia's soul, hoping this would just result in a straight-up resurrection. Unfortunately, she vastly underestimated Rosie's capacity for misinterpreting instructions. Rosie couldn't conceive of a human having less than two parents, so she proceeded to use 100% of Ophelia's soul and 100% of Hamlet's soul to complete the request. Upon being exposed to her, most sane adults were overcome with the feeling that there was now something deeply wrong with the world, proceeded to lose it completely and killed each other in a desperate attempt to fix whatever was broken. In order to stop the madness and alleviate the poor child's suffering (turns out having 200% of a soul Isn't Very Fun), Kismet removed her excess soul and placed it into a newly-created body, resulting in Ophelion. The two siblings were separated without a second thought, because Kismet and Rosie couldn't for the life of them imagine why that would be a bad idea. Sadly, the newly-christened Perdita had a LOT more bullshit to go through, because Horatio decided that he was going to bring Hamlet and Ophelia back, regardless of whether or not anybody was already using their souls. Five years later, he abducted her and Ophelion and tried to murder them before being killed by his own five-year-old daughter. (How's that for embarrassing ways to go?) This just confirmed to the girls that they were right to split the twins up, and took things even further by having Rosie take Perdie to the woods to lay low with her merry band of freaks (Including Doodle, Perdita's very best friend  ). She lived a quiet life until she was about twelve or thirteen, when Ophelion found her. Kismet and Rosie decided to bring her back to Elsinore; she was absolutely terrified at first, but soon made a few friends and grew to like life there.
