Main Plot

Born in Japan but being Korean, Song has had a hard time adapting to the Japanese culture and having friends because of his rude personality and family background of being wealthy. Because of this, he moves to America for a new beginning as a transfer student and quickly adapts to the American culture. Due to him being a transfer student from a wealthy traditional Asian household, he’s expected to get good grades to raise their family’s reputation. Song’s parents also hope for him to keep in contact with them and give updates about his life now and then. Using his parent’s trust, Song goes out and does other activities that would go against his parent's rules, examples being his recent piercings and using their money to dine out instead of necessities. He soon meets Kawase in one of his classes and becomes interested in the boy. Song uses his charm and looks to win him over and successfully becomes friends with him.

Family

Song has a mother and a father who are both from wealthy backgrounds. His father owns a family business, while his mother is the daughter of one of the co-owners. Both are usually absent. During Song’s younger life, his mother got him a tutor for violin and attended many of his concerts, but Song stopped playing in his early teenage years with no proper reasoning while his dad taught him about the family business he’ll inherit. As Song got older, he didn’t like the thought of owning the family business. Still, his father insisted, and eventually, both agreed to a deal stating if Song did better in life in America, he wouldn’t run the family business; if he failed, he would return and become the owner. Both agreeing, they soon let Song live in America and encourage him to keep them updated and fund his basic needs.
