- She lost her eye when she was 12 during an incident where she was trying to protect her brother.
- She refers to Dove as "mom" and Nixie as "momma".
- When she was younger, she almost got her brother killed accidentally when she locked him out of the house during a cold winter day. She regretted it and has made it her goal to be a better big sister.
Dixie seems to be a mini version of her momma Nixie, acting all big sister-like (considering she is one), bossy, caring and motherly, and a bit of a fun killer, but in reality she’s more like her mother Dove. She has a terrible attitude and becomes a very scary person when engaged, extremely sarcastic and quick witted, knowing how to throw burns and use someone’s insecurities against them.
Although labeled a buzzkill, she can be fun-loving and when in the mood, is very mischievous and likes playing practical jokes on people, but if she gets in trouble she'll almost instantly throw whoever helped her under the bus. When she was younger she was quite the attention seeker and a huge brat, even going so far as to hate her little brother for his existence. She's since then grown out of it and cringes when looking back.
Like her momma Nixie, she likes sailing the seas and has taken an interest in learning about the ocean itself. She begs her momma if she can go on sailing trips with her, which is always answered with a yes.

Little brother //
Dixie hated Wade when she was younger. She thought her little brother would steal all her mom's love that rightfully belonged to her. When he was born, she declined the offer to hold her little brother, wanting nothing to do with him. As they grew up, Dixie became more and more mean and rude to Wade, stealing his stuff or just berating him.
However after a terrible event, Dixie realized how she was treating Wade and vowed to change. She started becoming more nice, supportive and actually sisterly towards him. She still made fun of him but it was more in a playful way than actually malicious. She's also extremely protective of him and protects him from mean bullies at his school. She went from hating her brothers guts to loving the shit outta him, she just hates how it had to be through such brutal means.
