Last Timberwolf that was designed by Miyathegoldenflower on Deviant Art. And along with Olwen, one of my favorites of the pack of five.
For all the terrors that a Timberwolf can cause, they do play a critical role in their ecosystems. Timberwolves often don't kill their intended prey, but sometimes they can drain a victim dry. The body is then food for the creatures who can consume the flesh (such as normal wolves, bears, etc).
On the rare occasion, a Timberwolf might scratch a Pony and bring about a strange condition called Werepony Syndrome. The infected will turn into a Timberwolf on the night of a full moon. Unlike a normal wolf, a Werepony will be driven to find and consume sweet foods, such as candy or cake. There is a theory that this helps them locate their first victim once the change becomes permanent. One cure to Werepony Syndrome is a potion with the hair of the infected mixed in. The mixture is then fed to the individual.

- Calfuray specializes in bison hunting, which ends up leading to the romance between Yona and Little Strong Heart. The wolf attacked the daughter of Chief Thunderhooves, and Yona was there to fend her off. A yak is definitely not a common sight and the Timberwolf was definitely puzzled by this turn of events.
