the little orphan that could!

Annaisha is notable to people who meet her for two reasons: first, her unrelenting extroversion, and second, her obvious love of the color red.

faced with the classic main character burden of two dead parents and no other family to speak of, she chose to handle it in a more productive way than an edgy phase by taking life by the horns and finding a dream to follow. luckily, the fact that her orphanage only played two tv stations made finding that dream very easy, considering it stared her in the face every day: reporting the news.

of course, annaisha’s a relatively proactive orphan. she never even met her parents, so why should their deaths affect her at all? at least, that’s what she thinks. rather than any of that cheese where she searches for remnants of people long gone, she holds her memories and nostalgia for her orphanage, since she was adopted at 13 by a rich man and his wife. they’re her parents, not some corpses.

ever since then, she was finally able to fulfill that dream of reporting. what started as internships and coffee runs turned into managerial staff seeing her potential and, at 15, allowing her to tag along with the adults out in the field. as soon as she hit 16, she was allowed to hold the mic as a head reporter on the team, and the rest was history.

of course, all good things must come to an end. over a year after the beginning of her tenure as channel 12’s most popular lead reporter, she was preparing to interview her fellow classmates as they stepped foot on the new Hope’s Peak campus as its inaugural class.. what could go wrong, deciding to open the academy after a ten-ish year break?

now, thrust into a fight for her life, will she live to tell the tale, or will the last report she’ll ever make be her own body discovery?
