The Dedinsky family is said to have been cursed - and Dahlia Dedinsky may have been the most recent victim of this curse. Dahlia was only 12 years old when she went missing on October 14, 1983. Dahlia was second child and only daughter of Robert Dedinsky and Carol Hays. Her older brother, Michael, was killed in a hit and run three years earlier. Her parents and friends described her as a very inquisitive girl. While some say her fate was tragic, her parents decided that her legacy was one of hope. They never gave up hope that she was still alive. Alongside Bianca Moretti, her parents founded the Dahlia Institute, which aims to find missing children and support their families. While Dahlia never returned to Waterden Cove, her memory still lingers.
