Maisie

Maisie was born in Hearthome City, in the Sinnoh Region. Her family, her father a historian and her mother an archaeologist, she was quickly introduced to the world of learning and her love forit grew from there. She would often be seen buried nose deep in a book, following after her parents at different exhibitions and conventions. When she was ten, her parents moved their little family to Twinleaf Town, nearby to the esteemed Prof. Rowan's Pokemon Lab. There, she was properly introduced to both the Professor, and a young researcher, Cynthia. She had met both before as a young child, and while excited to see them, she was even more excited to learn and study alongside them.

Having been studying at the Lab for a few years, she had seen many school field trips come and go, and never paid much mind to them. She would help direct them around the labs, and hand out worksheets for the students, but mostly kept to herself. When the latest field trip arrived, a large class from Nimbasa City, Unova, she was stopped by a boisterus girl, maybe a year older than her, who asked if she wanted to sit with her at lunch. Believing it to be rude to decline, she agreed. They had a lovely lunch together and Maisie helped the older girl, Delaney, out with a few of the tougher questions on the work sheets, when they went back inside.

They talked more and more during the week long field trip, and when the time came for the class to leave, Maisie was sad her new friend had to leave. The two girls decided to make a small friendship braclet for the two of them, and hoped they would see each other again, one day.

When she was about sixteen, her parents and the professor suggested she go on a Pokemon Journey, to both let her study more than just things inside the lab, as well as get out and about, meet new people. She agreed, picked a rambunctious Piplup named Reign as her starter, and off she went. She steadily grew her team along her journey, meeting a Shinx (Amperia) on Route 204, a Budew (Belladonna) in Eterna Forest, a Spiritomb (Enigma) in the dark tunnels of Mt. Coronet, a Kirlia (Prism) she met on Route 212 and a Froslass (Snowdrop) she met while entering Snowpoint City.

All of her Pokemon fully evolved by the time she reached the Pokemon League, and she narrowly beat the Elite Four and Champion. She decided not to take the Champion title as she would much rather continue her research, and headed home. Once home, she threw herself back into her studies, having missed the familiarity of the Lab while she was on her adventure. Needing a new assistant, Prof. Rowan hired Maisie and for her first assignment, she was to travel to the Unova Region and report back on any pokemon she found, new or already found in the Sinnoh Region.

She left immediately, caught a flight to Unova and headed straight for Prof. Juniper's Lab in Nuvema Town. There, already talking with the Professor was a girl, somwhat familiar to Maisie. Both the girl and the Prof. turned around and Professor Juniper introduced herself and then the two girls to each other. Recognising each other's names, they looked to their wrists, and they both still had their friendship bracelts from years ago.

Having both recently finished their Pokemon Journey's in their home regions, Delaney decided to tag along with Maisie and help her out with learning more about the Pokemon of the Unova Region. During their shared adventure, Delaney introduced Maisie to a new hobby, painting. Though not as fast a learner at it than she usually was, she took quickly to it and now uses it as a way to relax and unwind.
