Description

Devil hounds are commonly nicknamed as "beasts", due to their exterior, some convinced they are a new form of wendigos. The species consists of a single breed of devil's hound, appearing humanoid at first glance, but bearing far more similarities to a dog, hence its name. They are slim, large creatures about the size of lions, and are known for their odd mouths. Though nobody has researched the devil hounds enough to confirm, biologists believe their mouths consist of a cithin layer covered in flesh, creating the curious illusion of nothing but flesh.

Behavior & Biology

The devil's hound is a recently recognized creature, infamous for being allegedly created in a lab and released as an experiment, The validity of this claim is uncertain, and scientists only recognize it as a possibility for an attempt at further ecological balance. Research is still sparse, as they tend to act cautiously or agressively when observed, leading threaories to come out that they are far more intelligent than they appear. Though mainly carnivorous, they have been spotted digging for insects and eating scraps of both fuit and meat. A curious detail about devil hounds is that they have a barb on their elbow that can secrete a venomous liquid, like that of a platypus.
