Alderstrom is outgoing and enthusiastic. He's strongly empathetic and likes making new connections with others and looks for the best in everyone and everything. He has very optimistic outlook and when things aren't good he'll try really hard to think of ways to make things better - he really hates injustice. He feels terrible about having to inflict pain on other beings (though he has learned to have to compromise sometimes, especially given he's a carnivore) and often goes out of his way to avoid even the smallest potential conflicts.  He's in a relationship with Siphooskii.

Alder is a lightning dragon - he can shoot lightning from his long tail, and his horns function as lightning rods. His electric magic is very strong, but he hesitates to use it because of the damage it can cause and his fear of hurting things. He's also able to change atmospheric pressure a bit, mostly lowering or increasing intensity of rain. Despite his powers, he's rather afraid of thunderstorms and feels very uneasy when one's going on. Siphooskii is usually able to help him through them though!
