For art you don't necessarily need to know all that much, but if you think it'll help here's something :2
So a really quick summary of the species to people who don't know about them! {But to those who may remain curious, here's a Wiki page for the species as a whole}
The Chozo are a fairly advanced bird-humanoid kinda species originating from the Metroid game series.
We're going to be extremely simple here, but in general they're very smart, technologically advanced and quite ancient. In the past they were more warrior like, but switched to a more peaceful lifestyle at some point. Aaaand pretty much we've no idea on how gender works for them. Mostly it seems to only be pronoun based, or at least it's a big ol' headcanon that they don't have much to physically differentiate gender
There are at least two known tribes of Chozo, the Thoha (that are mostly scientists and fit this more peaceful lifestyle description) and the Mawkin (the warrior tribe, they retain their warrior ways and are pretty much fighters and soldiers through and through)
Most of my characters are of the Mawkin tribe! And while I do have a Thoha character too, they have even less of a reference image than the others do xD
The Mawkin are a warrior tribe, so that of course comes with armor! Generally their armor looks like this and most often comes in the colors of Red & Silver
I personally have tried to personalize the armor a little bit for each of my characters, but I understand that armor can be tough to draw so you're free to leave it out! (I'm working on some pics that have more loose kind of clothing on the characters. I'll do that when I have the time)

General notes on the species when it comes to looks

Oh, also. A small request to Not draw Red Throat, he's alright, but I'd rather see art of the other fellas first rather than the one absolute mean bad egg of the bunch xD Sorry if he's your favourite!
