" Opal, a bioluminescent mermaid who lives at 1,200 meters below the surface of the Atlantic Ocean, has never seen a living diver or mariner, or another of her kind. She stays alive by using her several points of bioluminesence to attract smaller prey. She did, however, notice that some of the stuff that sinks down from the mysterious world above either fits her perfectly (diving helmets, necklaces and bracelets) piques her interest (harpoons, anchors, lanterns) or kind of looks similar to her (skeletons). The skeletons quickly became her favorite, as she was lonesome, but over time she took more of a morbid interest in collecting them to ‘keep her company’. She’ll go to incredible lengths to obtain a body or relic, and has a vast collection of them already. Her favorites of which are two human skulls, a compas that has long since stopped working, and a suspiciously bloody harpoon. "
