Murphy was born in the Department 11, where her mother learnt her how to sew. At the age of 5, the army came to take her but her parents hid her. They were executed for that but the army never found the girl. Indeed, someone of her Department helped her to reach the huge wall where there was a breach. Aldwick who was already a Rebel ( https://toyhou.se/1953541.aldwick-lamia ), before aged of 17, took her to bring her to his camp. He helped her to learn a lot of things : how to fight, how to think, and she helped him as well.
At the age of 23, she became a leader of an other Rebels group and had to leave Aldwick for the first time of her life. She still has a crush on him though, but will never tell him. He mostly considers her as his sister. She helped him as much as she could.
