Profile

[ Jean [Djeen] was originally a human character, created for a school project. She was freely inspired by Neta Snook and was a aviaton teacher. She is now a dog because I'm more comfortable at drawings animals than humans lol. ]

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jean is a mutt with a dream of becoming a sled dog. Despite her gender and breed, she only managed to fulfill a role as a "coach" for sled dogs, which she still considered a significant achievement. As a mentor, she guided numerous rookie sled dogs, including Roy, a young, arrogant, yet talented husky who harbored a secret affection for her.

When Jean encountered Grace, a spirited and ambitious dog determined to defy the odds and become a sled dog regardless of her gender, size, and breed, Jean sensed an opportunity for her to succeed where herself failed. Eager to help, Jean embraced Grace as her protégé and shared all her knowledge and skills, inadvertently neglecting Roy in the process.

Unbeknownst to Jean, Roy became suspicious of the deep connection developing between Jean and Grace. He viewed their relationship as more than friendship or a simple mentor-student dynamic. Fueled by jealousy, Roy resolved to sabotage Grace's progress and regain Jean's undivided attention.

She is German Shepherd/ Belgian Malinois / Borzoi mix. She seems a bit intimidating and strict at first (and she is) but she is also really compassionate and protective, she's a passionate hardworker who never hesitates to speak the truth. She's also very calm and kinda maternal. If I had to explain the essence of her character in one sentence, let's say she's the intimidating but attractive english teacher you, a queer student, were in love with during middle school.

Her aviator human version was heavily inspired by the real-life aviator Neta Snook, and the actress Jennifer Beals and the character she plays in The L Word, Bette Porter.
