Not much is known about Pin. Only that he's been exiled from his home, Vineheaf Kingdom. As to why, he hasn't ever revealed.

He spends his time wandering the Lost Woods and the Kokiri Forest, foraging for food, seeking shelter inside tree trunks, and helping anyone who might get lost in the dense woods.
