Machie spends most of his time working at a pretty secluded lodge/inn up in the more northern areas.
He's the barista, technically--but because the lodge is so short staffed due to its location, they're often picking up stray tasks. They once spent three days re-roofing the entire place, just because the slight leak from heavy snowfall was making him anxious.

When he does get off of work, he tries to make trips into town. He's a major food fan, so he's always excited to see new recipes and try new tastes.
They're also a big fan of books, given that its one of the most reliable forms of entertainment up north--they'll read pretty much anything, but his favorites are cookbooks and epic fantasy novels. The denser wordcount makes for longer hours of reading.

He would go more often, but the lodge needs them pretty desperately, and no matter what he does, interactions with other sealomimis seems to go a little awry... they're very awkward for someone so kind.

His fur is pretty dense, so he'll sometimes walk out into frigid arctic weather with only a few layers on. They're comfiest when wearing at least three, though--he can't feel them through the fur, but the weight is comforting.
He likes to challenge himself to see how many clothing items he can stack on--you'll often find them with leg warmers, fingerless gloves/arm warmers, overalls, sweaters, beanies, or any kind of stacked-on clothing.

If you catch them in the middle of a project, though, he'll startlingly be in something akin to a t-shirt and shorts... only in -30 degrees, in the Arctic, hauling three times his weight up an iced-over path and seemingly fine.
