Milly

Milly is a one-of-a-kind albino carpagor. Therefore, as soon as she was born the word spread and she became a target of the exotic trades. Shortly after hatching, her parents were contacted and offered large sums of money for Milly but they declined. The traders did not take to this kindly. As a result, Milly's parents were killed and her kidnappers offered her two options: "come with us and your siblings will be safe" or "don't come with us, we kill your siblings and take you anyways." However, after choosing to go with them and arriving at the place she was meant to call "home," she was informed her siblings were killed regardless, and the remainder of her village was being turned over to the Queen. This "home," which consisted of bright lights and glass, is where Milly would stay for the next three weeks before the traders decided she was big enough for branding. She was branded with "08" on her right hind leg, as she was only the 8th carpagor these traders had captured. The trades were run by dragons who sold others of unique variations for profit. This often left individuals to be sold to collectors, personal use, workers or in Milly's case, a display waiting to be turned into taxidermy. She stayed with the beings who killed her family for one month until she was finally sold. While the man who bought her looked nice, once they arrived to his home (which she later discovered was the Queen's son) she saw all kinds of species who were also albino but turned into taxidermies with gold plating. Defeated, she asked the man "why?" He responded with "such pretty colors ought to be preserved."

Milly was told she only had a year left to live before she would be the right size for the mount he planned to put her on. However, during this time, she didn't just wait around until she died. She waited for her time to attack the one who planned for her to be nothing more than decoration. That day did come, and the Queen was left with nothing more than a bloody mess in the room which once belonged to her son.

She has been on the run for years now, killing the people who thought they could own and sell another living organism simply for profit. On one of her hurts she runs into a lutagor that had been attacked by one of the men she was tracking. She later learns this lutagor's name is Charlie, a now ex-tracker for the Queen and forever a mute.
