"Ah it is! She looks so much like her mother, her halo is so large too. I bet she'll be as good as--"
"Wait, look! Her tail is...um..."

Older sister to Lucius!
A girl living in her mother's shadow, the stares worsened by her abnormal, cursed tail. Expectations weigh on her shoulders - expectations for her to be the best, or the worst.

Maybe  her magic is being able to summon flying rings, which she then uses to  pick things up (and sometimes causes it to fly far away when she's  irritated, which happens often).

Tries to excel in class, but  since people's feedback to her are mixed (with frequent glances at her  tail, or being surprised she's not terrible in class), she's trying less  and less.

She just doesn't know which expectation she should meet.

Close  with Lucius, since they're in the same boat. She's more optimistic, and  wants people's praise. She hates people looking at her tail or making a  judgement based off it, and tries to hide it sometimes in whatever way  she could

Siblings with Jeanette! Maybe they're twins, idk yet. Younger one.

He   gets more negative attention than Jeanette, because he looks a lot  less  like his mother, his appearance is intimidating, and all of that red color on   him...must be a bad omen.

As a result he's extremely withdrawn,   and answers questions with a cool stare. He does whatever he wants in   class (if he even attends) since people are scared of him, and the   teachers don't really want to scold him out of respect to his mother,   and distaste for his appearance.

Unlike his sister, Lucius has   never bothered to hide his tail. He even   shifts it around sometimes, to create a dry crackling sound. If people   are going to stare, then he might as well put on a show. Its funny to   him to hear people stop talking the moment he rattles his tail.

He's not sure what he wants to do in life, and doesn't have the energy to find out.
