Linnea Barnes
Linnea is the cool and charismatic captain of Laeline University's top soccer team. Respected by professors and classmates alike, Linnea's achievements provide Laeline alumni with a sense of school pride and she will surely be missed when the time comes for her to graduate. Despite the coach pushing for her to go pro, Linnea is steadfast in her ultimate goal; to graduate with a business degree and go on to become the CEO of her own tech startup.
A proper work-life balance is important, especially to a woman with such grand ambitions. When she's not training or studying Linnea hangs out at the Bean & Bake cafe, staying connected with her friends and enjoying good coffee.

- Linnea has been dating Saturn since the pair of them were in high school. They are true childhood sweethearts.
- Linnea is type 1 diabetic, which she typically manages with an insulin pump.
- The team Linnea captains is specifically the Ground Soccer team, as opposed to Laeline's Sky Soccer club - for students that can fly. Still, Linnea is a big supporter of the airborne team and will sometimes join forces with the Sky Soccer captain to run joint training sessions.
- Laeline University doesn't have an Aquatic Soccer club of its own, but that's another sport Linnea loves watching on TV!
Connections
Linnea and Saturn have been an item since highschool. They're super comfortable in each other's company; whether it's hitting the gym together or chilling out at home playing Animal Crossing. Saturn sometimes feels insecure that he isn't "good enough" for Linnea because he doesn't have his life planned out in quite the same way, but, Linnea doesn't love him for what he can and can't achieve - she loves him because he's sweet. A true Barbie and Ken dynamic, where Linnea is content with the idea of having a cute trophy husband on her arm once her business takes off.
Tanvik and Linnea lived on the same street as children and have been friends ever since. They are both highly motivated, business-minded individuals who want to see the other succeed in their endeavours. Linnea makes it a habit to stop by the Bean & Bake to check in with Tanvik. Usually, it's just casual chats, but it's also the kind of friendship where Tanvik can bring Linnea a folder full of profit margins and other such statistics, and the pair would consider it a "fun" afternoon of poring over numbers together.
Their shared connection through Saturn is what brought Linnea and Jovian to meet, but in the years that they've known one another these two have developed an independent friendship. Linnea views Jovian as the little sister she never had and Jovian sees her in much the same light, admiring Linnea's confidence and aspiring to be more like her.
Rhys is one of Linnea's top players on her soccer team and the one she's considering nomination for captain once she graduates.
