Appearance:

Clothing Style: Rather scruffy looking attire, loose button up shirts, sweater vests, big, baggy sweaters and cardigans. Looks like that university professor that just gave up on life and appearances.

Alternative forms: Other than his mundane human form, He has a wolf form and can mutate individual parts of his body, like still be human, but have a wolf tail and ears, or change already existing part like certain anatomy below his belt if he wished.

Expression: Always tired, dark circles under his eyes... Almost looks dead inside. Tired and lethargic. Insomniac.

Body Language: Quiet and reserved, avoids big, sharp movements. Keeps to himself. Avoids looking people in the eye. He knows full well people perceive this as lying, but he avoids it anyways, he just doesn't like it.

Personality:

Lifestyle: Very simple, lived by himself in a humble apartment for most of his adult life. Makes it look like he has a dog, with dog toys, dog treats and a dog bed laying around, but his 'dog' has been missing many years by now... Confines himself to either the forest outside of the city or locks himself in his apartment when the full moon comes around

Skills: No real special skills except his wolf form.

John is a quiet, and reserved man. His students don't know much about him. He has to shave more often than he deems needed and more or less gave up on grooming his beard and body hair, it was just too much effort. He has bad mood swings that follow the moons phase that makes some students wonder about him. They wondered a bit more when someone visited with a service dog and the well trained dog freaked the hell out and went crazy at John and actually tried to attack him, immediately stopping in its tracks with its tail between its legs and whining when John snarled back at it. He gets annoyed at how many werewolf jokes he hears because of his surname. The media tropes about werewolves also piss him right off. He keeps all parts of his personal life very well hidden... Coworkers and students alike try to make bets on his life and make up elaborate stories to explain him.

• His gray streaks annoy the hell out of him, he doesn't bother dying it anymore, it shows up on his wolf form as well.
• He keeps his relationship an absolute secret because of its controversy and weirdness.
• He's best friends since childhood with Jeremy Becker. He was devastated when Jeremy was presumed dead. 
• He's a Tolkien fan and jokingly calls himself a warg... He finds it funnier than hell due to him actually being a werewolf.
