Kalevi, deity of origin, was worshipped in ancient times, then disappeared after creating the High Angels. Now in the modern world, he uses his true name as part of his title, as his “first name,” mostly to retain his ties to his full memory and power. He introduces himself by the “last name” he devised — "Maverick" — to keep people off the scent of his identity. His return to earth signifies that great changes are coming, possibly related to the prophesy of Sampsa.

• Kalevi in this story will eventually pass on and reincarnate into a more benevolent iteration of himself, whose name will be "Kalavainen." (This story beat draws inspiration from the Väinämöinen figure as a son of creation.)
