Story (WIP)

Airi has background cameos throughout the first month of the story, and a short time into the second Tomomi is with the other Arcana when they notice her following them. Upon realising she's been seen, she goes up to him to apologise before claiming he's the perfect partner she's been looking for. [...] The next day however when Tomomi goes to talk to her, she says she's changed her mind and apologises again.

● Lovers is one of the most misunderstood arcana, its main meaning not being romance but choices, often those that are permanent or require sacrificing what was not chosen. The TL;DR is that its art used to depict a man choosing between two women, one older but also wiser and the other being much more beautiful, representing the correct choice and the easy choice respectively, but then the Rider–Waite deck changed it to be Adam and Eve to better represent that the card is also associated with the star sign Gemini. Upright it means balance, unity, and developing your beliefs; Reversed it is conflict, indecision, and avoiding responsibility.

● Kisshōten is a Japanese Buddhist goddess of happiness, fertility, and beauty who originated from the Hindu goddess Lakshmi, and is sometimes also considered to be a member of the Seven Lucky Gods.

● Inari Ōkami is one of, if not the, most well known kami in Shinto, being associated with foxes, fertility, rice, agriculture, industry, and, most relevant for Lovers, has no specific gender, being represented as male, female, or androgynous depending on regional traditions and individual beliefs; in other words, you choose how you view them.

● Airi's full name, Airi Hakurei, starts with the kanji for "love, affection" and ends with "lovely, graceful, beautiful", which speak for themselves.
