Profile

P Y R E
Exiled from the Pantheon, this minor 'Goddess' of Navigation is merely a  husk of her former self. Not that such a thing is obvious to mortal  eyes; her cocky personality mixed with a need to please the crowd seems  almost natural for any bard, let alone one of her talents. Yet when they  say she has a voice of a Goddess, well, perhaps this time they're not  too far from the truth...
This sparkling trickster is bound to get into trouble while dancing the  night away - the main question is, are you willing to join in the fun?

Likes:
ღ Hearty food, and lots of it. She'll eat for days on end if you let her.
ღ The night in general, in all of it's glittering glory.
ღ Pretty much all shiny things.
ღ Cuteness, gothic-lolita style being a clear favourite.

Dislikes:
☣ The moon. Look, there's a solid reason for it. Don't judge. Well judge all you like.
☣ Pulses. Vegetable pulses in particular. Beans, peas, corn, things like that. Squishy foods. Yuck!
☣ Not being the center of attention. She's a Goddess after all - having  followers is what she lives for. More importantly, she's a BARD. That's  what they do! Sing songs, get laid! Right?
☣ Bright, bright light. Sunlight isn't great.
☣ Enclosed spaces. Being trapped is more of a true fear than a dislike, however.

Vices:
☠️ Alcohol. She enjoys a good drink and she'll drink like a fish if  given the chance. She knows and understands that this is unhealthy and  that it's a bad coping mechanism, but is something that she needs to  work through with time.
☠️ Playful to the point of annoying. Pyre doesn't always know when to  stop without input. Her trickster nature leads to some stupid decisions  that can often cause a lot more harm than good.
☠️ Heart of gold yet wary to trust. Once upon a time, Pyre wanted to  adopt every soul who wished for a Motherly figure and happily took them  under her wing. After having that horribly abused her confidence was  shattered for a time, forcing her to step back from making any  connections. It's only now that she's starting to open up even slightly  again, though those steps are still very wary.

Theme songs / Pyre's music taste:
Because I can't have a bard character all here without a section about music, can I?
Ghost - Square Hammer - Main theme.
Flite - Progression - Non-Vocal, D&B Battle Theme. Because sometimes vocals and rock isn't the way to go and you just want to dance.
DMC5 Nero's Theme - Battle theme. Red hot temper I just can't resist all this vengence inside me!
Trivium - Beyond Oblivion - Firstborn Theme. [Void mode]

Short, fun facts!:
🔥 Though Pyre really, realllly enjoys her food... well, she's an  absolutely terrible cook. Over the years there have been a few things  that she's managed to pick up but they are only super simple meals,  usually only seasoned meat. She purchases most of her meals or buys them  pre-made in bulk.
🔥 Her map making skills are second-to-none, and she will sit for hours  crafting a piece on whatever material she can get her hands on. From  astrology orbs to your standard pen-to-paper goodness, if it will guide  you she can create it and create it well.
🔥 However despite all of Pyre's crafting skills in the map department,  she is not incredibly skilled in the language department. Common and  Celestial are the four languages she knows off-by-heart, with Celestial  being her main language of writing. She is more than willing to sit down  and attempt to learn another language, however, and will spend hours  and hours with anyone willing to give her the time of day to teach her.
🔥 She knows how to speak Common and Celestial in sign language as well, though not how to cast spells in sign.
🔥 Most of her non-verbal conversation is done via blue and purple  flaming lights, where she will leave patterns in the air dipicting what  she means.
🔥 It is not unusual for her hoofprints to leave behind a starry pool  for a short time, giving people something to follow. This allows her to  go ahead without any worries.
🔥 She's a quick traveller on foot, easily jogging at the pace of a  horse on trot and can continue at this pace for some time. However, she  is terrible at running and outright refuses to use any form of  transport, preferring highly to "walk" rather than ride or fly. She can  only be bribed to sit in a carriage or other moving vehicle with food  and drink.
🔥 Despite all her fluff, Pyre never overheats. She prefers cooler climates in general, however.
🔥 Due to Pyre's lack of ordinary birth she heavily craves familial  ties. It's not unusual for her to have taken on several people or  creatures under her wing as 'children'. Despite this, she has never had  her own babies.
🔥 Her Firstborn deific form, Oblivion, generally isn't seen and is  considered a bad time ™ for all involved. At this stage it's been so  long that most consider her to be unable to connect to that part of her  being at all. If they even know about it in the first place.

Extra OOC Notes:
- There is no vocal inspiration for Pyre due to her being my stream  mascot, otherwise I'd have chosen a voice for her. She's [unfortunately?  Fortunately?] become so attached to me that I can only imagine her  speaking in my voice which is a problem because I can't sing anymore.
- Pyre's second name on the reference, 'Smol', comes from my stream-name and social media stuff. More mascot stuff.
- A lot of the information here will grow as it is D&D related  thanks to a current 5e campaign. Some of it is not currently in the  campaign, for obvious reasons. If you would like her character sheet for  any reason let me know, I have it on orcpub.
- She can be played in any timeframe or setting, thanks to deific bullshit.
- I seriously considered dropping the whole fallen Goddess rubbish.  Really, seriously considered it. However, I have like...five, six  different documents of the Pantheon written up and stories all set up  for my own campaign floating about and it would be a waste not to use  them, so I may as well leave her going. It just feels so cliche and a  bit...ugh. Icky? But she's stuck here now. Deal with it, sheepy mcSheep.  Roll to hide your neck scar!
- I'm tired and have spent way too long writing this and it's probably way too long so here. Have the updated reference. Enjoy!
