Darnell is a journalist and conspiracy theorist! he primarily studies and documents research about various things mostly regarding astronomy! He was previously an astronomer himself. However with his previous work environment being anything but a safe space for his study, ideas, and his opposing opinion to colonizing and exploiting other planets or even galaxies, he decided to part ways from his initial career... ! as much as he loves to study all things about the stars, planets, galaxies, black holes, astronomical events, possible extraterrestrial life, the possible existences of other universes and SO MUCH MORE,, he would hate to see them within the grasps of humanity(?) instead of letting them be and only studying them for knowledge but! his voice was never heard within his lab and was even perceived as insane, so he left on his own terms and would voice his ideas and concerns though his journalling!

Darnell is socially awkward and is prone to over explaining himself to where his speech sounds liek incoherent word vomit, but when he isn't too frantic when spoken to, he is polite and loves engaging in interesting conversations with others, sharing his knowledge and enjoyign thinking critically to just about any concept or ideas! He will become very attached to those who genuinely are interested in his theories and will go on and on about them, even accidentally not letting the other person speak... he can be quite the yapper.... darnell will apologize for this a lot as he's very empathetic and knows what it's like to not be heard or listend to... as much as he yaps, he can also be a good listener ! he doesn't like to upset people and will be willing to appease those who are even at his own expense. unfortunately, he's very used to being looked down upon or being something like a doormat or punching bag as he values the well-being of others more than his own.

Darnell is very passionate about his theories! but he's also passionate about his beloved alien significant-other, mushroom man! while initially he and his partner did not share the same language creating a severe language barrier, he felt like there was mutual emotional understanding between them which was something he has been looking for, for a very long time.! he's very soft and affectionate towards his partner, but gets very flustered n a lil embarrassed displaying his acts of affection in front of other people.
