Kiro Uchiha

Once Kiro was known as a troublemaker, a playful prankster and tease, and beneath that a brilliant shinobi in training. He even made it all the way through the chunin exams and was being considered for jonin if he could show some maturity.
Then the kekkei genkai hunters got him. He was attacked during a simple solo mission and taken away to be striped of his eyes. When they discovered he hadn't achieved his sharingan yet, it was a simple matter of some torture to fix that. When his sharingan was finally activated, his right eye was taken. Thankfully a team from Konoha found him before they could get his left, but the one who took his eye escaped.
The incident left him with more scars then just the visible ones. Though he does his best to act uneffected, it's clear to those close to him that he's only forcing the trauma down. His temper has shortened, making him more likely to lash out at small things. Something as simple as sparring can lead to a panic attack, the edge of a kunai gleaming in a certain way or a hit landing somewhere in particular can cause him to either lock up or shunshin out of the fight completely. Most nights he barely sleeps, plagued by nightmares, and it certainly doesn't help his mental health.
Kiro just desperately wants to seem like he's fine, he knows shinobi that have gone through far worse and it chaffs at him that he can't seem to just get over it.
