Lucie Lucaille

Lucie had a rather normal childhood. Sheltered, raised by Sweet fanatics in a family with several people in Tanim’s Special Forces, not wealthy but also not poor, living with her parents and older brother but also having her aunt, uncle and cousin very close by the whole time. She’s always loved her family to bits, but everyone seemed to be better than her in every aspect. Her cousin Sicily was smarter, more athletic, had better grades and a much better hold on her own self, and even went to college! Her uncle Vitale was in the Special Forces and kept raising ranks! Her parents seemed to always have higher expectations for her! Her brother Adrien followed Vitale into the Special Forces! And Lucie… no matter how much she tried, she seemed to never be able to reach any of them. She hated studying, hated school, and honestly thought it was all pointless shit she’d never really need in her life. What she really liked were her uncle and brother’s stories, seeing new places and hiking with her scouts group and her brother, adventure!

The crushing deception of not being able to meet expectations and disliking what she was doing so much eventually lead to her grades snowballing into shit land along with her mental state, and it was only through a hell of a lot of support from Adrien and really focusing on the things she actually liked that she managed to not fail grades and eventually drop out of highschool. Lucie got into dance classes and the anime club at school (even ran it on her last two years!), Adrien found a reward competition system to keep her interested and working through videogames and challenges, and it worked out. In the end the last reward he gave her was the choker she still wears to this day, and she’s never taken it off since.

But Special Forces officers don’t get to choose where they stay or what they do, and shortly after Lucie was out of highschool Adrien had to leave to a town near the walls. He promised her that he’d take her on a big trip around all of the Tanim countryside to see all the towns and villages once he got back, but the family lost contact with him quickly after that, and never heard of him again since.

After quite a few years working at Dulcet Laeta and even spending the vast majority of her time there being the Delivery Manager, she got her nose into some classified documents, and mistake lead to mistake and she became on the run from authorities, aimless and running like a headless chicken now that she'd lost all the anchors she had to some form of stability in her life.

WHY REBELLION?

After snooping around in Sweet's office and finding a quarantine list with her brother's name on it, she stole the whole book and confronted her uncle Vitale over call about it. With his phone monitored and him lying to Sweet's face to protect her, the whole family ended up being taken and Lucie had no real choice but to be on the run or be taken too. With only her and Sicily left, Lucie ended up joining the rebellion out of anger, frustration and revolt over everything and the sheer amount of lying she'd believed in her whole life.
