Sephiran

Sephiran is a selfish manipulator who wants to rip hope and passion away from others so they're as lifeless and easy to manipulate as possible.

He is cold, caldulating, and angry at the world. He is also devoid of passion and care for much -and as a result can't understand why others bother. He's doing just fine. He's a bit of a brat, and absolutely has an ego. He hates being wrong and hates being argued with more- because its a waste of everyone's time when "At the end of the day, everyone lives and everyone dies"

In reality, he's terribly misguided and abandoned by the world around him, and using it as an excuase to immaturely lash out at others. 

Sephiran is the god of anguish, of suffering and hopelessness. He is, as his nature may imply- absurdly obsessed with crushing the dreams of others with manipulation and harshness of reality. Nothing seems to satisfy him more than ripping away the spark of hope from someone's eyes. Though one of the 'Evil' beings; he is generally rather self serving and has been known to assist the benevolent gods on occasion if it benefits him. The root of his twisted nature lies in his father; who's corruption and refusal to allow Sephiran any source of dream or hope for the future promoted his own warped views of right and wrong. 

In his eyes, Hope is wrong. To hope is to pretend reality is not present, to hope is whimsical and foolish, and will lead to the downfall of humanity; because hoping for too much is greedy. It's possible he's just in denial of the fact he himself is 'evil' because accepting that means accepting that his lack of passion equates to his own responsibility.
