"I severed all ties with Fate. That includes my mother and father."

In a very distant past, Aiz was one of two heirs to the dual sides of Fate. Due to childish greed & a selfish god however, this status became entirely forfeit. Punished by their own father, Zire was ripped of his wings & Aiz gave chase, sacrificing one wing to the other in order to survive the fall. Aiz always assures he does not regret his decisions.

"...No, that's not particularly a facet of my life I like to think on."

If you spend any amount of time around Aiz or his brother, Zire, you are certain to hear the title "False Seraph" passed around, most likely dismissively. In a vengeful & selfish decision, both he and Zire hunted Gods. "Attempted" would be unfit here—they succeeded in killing one God.
Aiz made the reckless decision to consume the ichor they bled and fell gravely ill, shortly after experiencing extreme withdrawal. Zire narrowly convinced him that perhaps the consumption wasn't worth this attempt to raise their statuses—to become False Seraphs.

"...Well, would you... like a hot chocolate?"

For a month, apartment 105 was completely absent. Aiz had known the residents had been... unusual. Addiction had taken it's obvious hold on them both—but eventually, he saw nothing more of them. Even less of their already scarce child, either. Until the beginning of December, passing a cafe. The sound of sniveling, beneath the whirring of busy cars—and when he glanced into the alley only feet away. The day he found his little light.

"I would do it again. All of it."

The most grievous day for many people. Following Rune faithfully to a distant, hidden library, this was the day creatures of someone they would never forget made their first appearance—and the same day Aiz nearly lost his life in a desperate attempt to save Rune's. He succeeded, of course—but it could be argued the creature that he fended off did, too. Since that day, the scar of his great sword still aches through his stomach.
