Reiko is the eldest daughter of a family that handles a shrine in Yakudoshi village. She was born cursed to see ghosts; However, she doesn't really think of it as a curse, and is friends with some of those ghosts too.  But the kids around her find it creepy and scary that she's constantly surrounded by ghosts. She however, found this funny and loves pulling pranks with her ghost buddies across town.  As the eldest in her family, she's actually supposed to take over as a shrine maiden in the coming years, but she's neglectful of her duties and prefers to just do whatever she wants. She's clever and snarky, and is also skilled at using magic.  Reiko is often described as "good talents gone to waste" by the village elderly, and is publicly labelled as a menace.
