After a mishap with the time-warping crystal known as thaumerite, Lepto is rapidly aging forward, whereas his twin albino brother, Cinera, is aging backward. The brothers lost touch with each other after the thaumerite incident about a decade ago due to a disagreement about how to handle their predicament. Both are in their 30s, although Lepto currently looks around 75, whereas Cin looks like a teenager.

Upon realizing the aging process was not slowing down, Lepto set out west in search of Cinera (when asking around, he will randomly refer to Cin as his grandson, nephew, or son). He copes with his existential crisis about aging by drinking heavily and is often hungover, although he pretends that it is just a normal symptom of old age. Even though he is hale and hearty, he plays up being elderly and takes advantage of the benefits that come with his elderly appearance, such as having others carry his groceries, taking the designated senior seats on the ferry, and using senior discounts at restaurants.

Lepto is a traveling mystic who earns money by offering readings to curious people he meets in different towns. He is prone to dramatics and knows how to put on a good show, but he does actually have a strong connection to nature. This spiritual connection is further heightened by an oak staff gifted to him by his patron, a treant named Turlang.

For better or worse, Lepto uses his spiritual power freely, attuning to the "Vision" (the ghost field, or the supernatural plane) whenever his friends are in danger or when he feels the Vision can give a helpful prophecy. He is protective of friends, helpful toward allies, and petty to those who have slighted him.

Totem's Vessel

When you push yourself and open your body and soul as a conduit for your totem, choose one of the following additional benefits: perform a feat of athletics or stealth that verges on the superhuman - maneuver to confuse your enemies so they mistakenly attack each other - sense your prey (gather Information with at least Standard result) wherever it is.

When you protect a teammate, take +1d to your resistance roll. When you gather info to anticipate possible threats in the current situation, you get +1 Effect.

The Vision has crystalized in you a terrible fate. Gain a new scar, “Paranoid” as you perceive threats real or imagined. After you see the results of your action roll, you can push yourself an additional time to roll +1d. Resisting consequences for any such roll has a new maximum of 7 stress (normally 6).
