Eirene acts in a way that conceals her identity and is not harmful to other people. The real Eirene has layers to her character, problems she's never resolved, and things she's blind to. No matter how much it hurts, she wants to be as helpful as she can if someone is looking for her. She must be that symbol for those who need and deserve it because so many others have given up on her in the past.
Although Eirene is a good person and genuinely wants to help others who is like her, her disguise ends up hurting her. She realizes that she is nothing in comparison to those around her and that she will never be loved and appreciated as a result of what she has gone through.
She finds it frustrating that she is good at understanding people but is unable to pinpoint the reason behind her frustrations with them. She doesn't want to be looked down upon, and she can't be looked down upon because no one else will help those in need while she works so hard and considers things so thoroughly. She wants to play a part that supports others who are similar to her and who won't give up on them easily.

Summary.
the story at a glance.
- The story of Eirene is set in her long-forgotten hometown, where she was raised by changeling parents and her brother. She struggles to control her shapeshifting abilities because she was broken at birth. In this world, changelings are viewed as monsters—hideous creatures that will steal your identity and children—and are dangerous monsters that should be put down. While some changelings actually live that way, many don't; they choose to lie all their lives, never daring to leave their comfort zones for fear of rejection or, worse, death. She wasn't known as Eirene at first; instead, she went by Gwenneth Fallware, or simply Gwen. Her older brother Abbit and parents, Naohm and Thiago Fallware,. Their family was initially happy, but then Eirene began to exhibit symptoms of her inability to control her shapeshifting. She was easily overstimulated by her own emotions, which led to the development of a problem. Given that they couldn't take Eirene outside in this manner and that it would quickly kill their entire family, Naohm and Thiago were understandably concerned. It was a difficult decision at first, but it was decided that Eirene would be kept in her room and only allowed to leave with her parents' permission. The windows would be kept locked, the curtains would always need to be closed, and she would not be allowed to reveal her identity to the public. This would teach Eirene from an early age that these people are vicious, aggressive, and savage, and that they will kill anyone who doesn't look like them. Though raised with that perspective on people, Eirene developed an interest in the outside world. She picked up reading at a fairly young age. She was constantly alone, even though the books she owned became her best and only friends. Occasionally, Abbit would visit her and play. When it got to the point where Abbit, who was just 18 and didn't know what he was getting himself into, was told to stay behind and take care of Eirene because her parents were too afraid of losing the life they had built together, they left. Eirene was only four years old, and she was never told where they went or why. They simply vanished. In the middle of the night, Eirene does recall being part a conversation with her family; she was in the background. Her brother and parents were talking, possibly at two in the morning, about how Abbit looks after her while they are away and that they would return. and that his caregiving abilities would be great.
- Perhaps after that one conversation, Abbit developed a dislike for her over time—something she was unaware of when she was younger. but he became aloof. sometimes even forgetting to let her leave her room. For a while, Eirene was really by herself. When Eirene was seven years old, she tried to sneak out and play with some kids on the street. The kids didn't mind that she had changes; in fact, they thought she was cool. Until the days went by and night fell, Eirene didn't understand why her parents had told her that these were monsters and that's all they were. The fire broke out in the late hours of the night. After rescuing Eirene from the fire, Abbit fled outside into a densely populated area. The children she played with, once so happy and smiling. replaced with fury and fear. and the people calling them out to be monsters. They were fortunate to be able to flee; Abbit had suffered numerous injuries protecting Eirene from these individuals and had gone above and beyond to ensure her safety. as they stand atop a hill with their former home in flames and the loud crowd in the distance. Even though the fire was warm at that moment, Eirene realized her brother's warmth was cold and that everything would soon change.
- Abbit knew it was all her fault, so he dragged her around looking for a new place to live. He saw her missing one morning, but he didn't punish her because there wasn't any follow-up for several days. Now, however, there has been. When Eirene tried to cheer him up and make her brother happy, she was only met with hate and violence. during the search for a fresh home. Eirene was broken in so many ways by Abbit. Abbit was lucky enough to have enough cash on hand to buy a tiny house that would be sufficient for the two of them to live in. They stayed there for three years, during which time Eirene was once again locked up, and she only felt the outdoors for a week or two. She used to clean the house while Abbit worked, and she was regularly mistreated by receiving work that was too much for her to handle, leftovers, and, of course, the things he would tell her. Abbit also fell in love during those years, with the woman he intends to marry. Mary Oakwood was her name, and although she was aware that Abbit was a changeling, it didn't matter. She was madly in love with him, he could hide himself. She began to fear that, with Eirene in it, she would destroy them, just as Eirene had destroyed his parents' relationship with him. Eirene got kicked out and was forced to learn how to live alone. Eirene was ten years old by this point, more emotionally stable, and always wore a cloak. covering every square inch of her body, she managed to travel to the next town and follow some adventures. lying to them and telling her that she had to go there to find her grandmother. She created a new identity for herself and had an easy journey, starting over. due to her inexperience, lack of comprehension, and youth. Eirene could never find employment; instead, she had to rely on her abilities as a changeling to survive, which included stealing food, scaring people for cash, and a variety of other things. Eirene was not at all amused by this. however it's a way of life. Because of how severely she was beaten, she frequently went without food and had to learn how to defend herself. particularly since it was now sought for her to be killed for being a changeling. Eirene nearly got caught and killed numerous times, but one night she was so hungry she didn't even want to get up. She found herself in an alleyway, unable to maintain her disguise due to a lack of strength. She was approached by a man who said he had been looking for her and would give her a hand in life if she agreed to be his apprentice. Eirene was in a desperate situation. If this was a dangerous man, she can hope for a speedy demise at least. After being fed, she was taken to a town the following morning. Throughout the ride, Eirene felt uneasy since she was unsure of the man's intentions. in particular, that he knew Eirene was a changeling. Even now, Eirene can still clearly recall her first impression of his house; it wasn't anything special. It was tucked away farther into the forest, with a training area and a sizable garden full of berries, fruits, and vegetables that explained how he had built it himself. as well as her own space. as well as her own key. She discovered that the man's name was Iker Amberclaw and that he would be teaching her how to become a monk, someone with talent, and the best version of herself. Eirene and Iker ate a formal meal together at the table. She used to always eat in her room and never share a meal with her entire family. Iker made a pricey dessert of cake covered in chocolate. However, he was excited to welcome a new apprentice. and giving her a new home. Eirene never received appreciation for being herself or for simply existing. This was her very first dessert. For a year, she lived on the streets all alone. this was her first happy memory ever—a cake with a new family—after spending her entire life alone. Someone who saw something in her, someone who finally showed interest in her. That night, Eirene sobbed until she became ill. because of the overwhelming happiness she was experiencing at the moment, not because of sadness.
- As an apprentice under Iker, Eirene was taught the fundamentals of life as a monk because Iker believed it would empower her to make better decisions for herself. She would get up at six every morning and have breakfast. Spend two hours in meditation, tend to the garden, and tidy the house. Use the dummies to hone her fighting abilities. she would have spare time, she should practise her martial arts with dummies, eat lunch, and meditate more. after dinner, meditation, free time, and bedtime at nine o'clock. until she acquires the feel for it, hense and repeat. Eirene finds it amazing that Iker was able to figure out how to meditate correctly because he was genuinely terrible at explaining how fighting worked and had no idea how Ki worked at all. Thus, Eirene primarily learned how to control her Ki by visiting a nearby library and reading books on spirit energy and ki. Eirene found it difficult to focus on just one thing when she was trying to meditate, so she took up bead making as a hobby to keep her hands occupied. Additionally, as her fighting skills gradually improved, she started sparring with Iker. Eirene is gradually growing closer to her mentor and has a lot of potential to become a monk. She grew attached to him as she began to regard him as a father figure. and with his assistance, Eirene was able to come out of her shell and assist Iker. Iker used to work for bakers and Taverns, selling fresh goods. She would constantly beg to take over the sales, which he did most of the time under supervision. Eirene was starting to feel like a real person. Over their six years together, Eirene and Iker develop a close bond as father and daughter. Eirene's last instruction was to defeat Iker in combat, which she tried hard but Iker could tell. She's holding herself back even though she's trying her hardest, in his opinion. She was obviously afraid of what would happen if she were to prevail. Years ago, Eirene and Iker used to discuss their future plans. Iker was particularly interested in learning what Eirene would do after her training was over. Eirene spoke of throwing away her life because she no longer desired an adventurous life and believed that all she needed was Iker. She doesn't require friends or exposure to the outside world. She had already seen everything. She didn't give a damn about being left alone if Iker passed away from old age. She was simply aware that she would pass away before Iker. She remained the same throughout all of their discussions about it over the years. Iker realised that Eirene was wasting her potential when she won the fight one day, one week before her birthday, and Iker promised to celebrate with her. However, they didn't. When she turned eighteen, she discovered a note with a gem in it, a farewell from Iker telling her that she was strong and prepared for this and that he was leaving to continue his adventure. Even though Eirene felt deceived and that she had lost everything once more, she maintained her mask and continued to smile despite her feelings.
- She had the option to choose to remain at home and live there forever. However, it gave Eirene one last push to continue her adventure. She met a group of three merchants during the course of the first few months. The group consisted of newer merchants who travelled from place to place selling their wares. Among them was Aurora Starfall, a 31-year-old potion maker who specialised in selling healing potions while on the go. After her husband's death, she moved out of her house and left her three children with her father. and was in dire need of financial assistance to support her family. Another was a half-orc named Emeric Ironheart, who was the group's chef and was twenty-five years old. During his travels, he sold uncommon spices and difficult-to-find seeds. His family is made up of warriors and blacksmiths, so he left home to pursue his dream of becoming a chef even though his family did not support it. Finally, there was Eric Frostwood, a half-elf who specialised in selling rare trinkets. His wife was the owner of a magic store, so the two of them worked together while she was at the store and he worked outside promoting his wife's store.
- Aurora became interested in Eirene's jewellery-making and offered to help her pursue her passion as a career. At the time, they were planning a year-long journey to save money for their goals. Naturally, Eirene agreed, and the two grew close to one another. Of course, they were unaware that Eirene was a changeling herself; she had done a good job of hiding her true identity; she was now called Aysel Evergreen, a half-elf woman who had recently completed her monastic training. However, she became at ease with this group as the months went by and they became closer; the group regarded one another as family. Aurora was aware of Eirene's circumstance of having been abandoned when she was a small child of course leaving out the changeling parts.Eirene was younger than everyone, she was good at giving advice, and she valued that. She saw Eirene as a daughter.The others also offered to put her up, but Eirene preferred Aurora's offer. Aurora promised to create a potion shop when she got home. and that even though she knew she wasn't the best mother, her children needed someone to set a good example for them while she was at work. and desired for Eirene to be a member of her family, essentially as an older sister. Eirene was thrilled about the concept as the year was coming to an end.As they neared their goal, which was just a few days away, they made the decision to set up camp one night. As Emeric complained about having a pair of eyes following them for hours on end, the group became uneasy. People always thought of Emeric as a paranoid guy. so while they weren't entirely concerned, they continued to be on guard. A group of robbers attacked them while they were sleeping with the intention of stealing the goods they had worked so hard to acquire. They obviously battled to the very end. but they were totally overwhelmed. In an attempt to frighten these thieves and lower their guard, Eirene made the decision to come forward and reveal her identity mid-fight. They took the initiative as a result, and the robbers fled, leaving her party to turn around and point their weapons at her. She was yelled at by Aurora, who called her a monster and threatened to shoot Eirene dead if she moved forward. Every time Eirene spoke, she put her life in even greater danger. she simply walked away from them. She felt angry with herself because she had essentially ruined what could have been a perfect life. Nonetheless, she was happy they were still alive. even though it is painful.
- Her next identity, played by the charismatic Keaton Ravensong, was a human who, at the age of 19, needed a job to be independent. When she first met Cormac Oakenshield, a roughly fifty-year-old married man of 28 years, he offered Eirene a job as a bartender in his tavern. She never became close to Cosmac or his wife, but she loved her work as a bartender and felt more a part of the community by hearing about other people's experiences, struggles, and aspirations. She would claim that she became friends with some of her regular customers, a friendship that lasted until she turned 20. Eirene was allowed to have alcohol during her free time at the festival. Since it was her first time drinking, she made a mistake, got very drunk and told a bartender at the party who she truly was. The following morning, when she sobered up, she realised how much she had messed up. Unwilling to confront the issues, she fled and gave up on that identity. She proceeded to the next town over and assumed a completely new identity. She was going by the name of Vanya Stonefist, a twenty-year-old Human woman who had travelled a great distance to find a place to stay.She worked as a maid, so she wasn't able to maintain this identity for very long. It only took a few months for people to become suspicious of her after they discovered flaws in the documents she gave them in order to be hired, so she had to quickly abandon that identity. Tyche Frostbloom was her next identity; at age 21, she continued to act as a human adventurer who performed quests for those in need. There were four of these adventures when she travelled with them on a larger quest, and they kind of threw themselves at her, promising to let her keep the larger profit. Rowan Moonshadow is a bard, Elden Emberforge is a fighter, Mirabelle Stormcrest is a cleric, and Rowena Moonshadow is a druid. These escapades consisted of a group of friends from childhood. two of them being identical twins. and since Eirene had been travelling alone for a while, they thought she would be the ideal addition to their group. However, she politely declined, telling them to stop bothering her and to go their separate ways. Although these adventurers didn't treat Eirene badly, they definitely treated her more like an object than a friend. Frequently forgetting Eirene's presence unless absolutely necessary. Because of Rowena's inexperience with spells, particularly Moonbeam, Eirene was more concerned and afraid that she would have to undergo another identity change. Of course, during their journey, Rowena made mistakes with Moonbeam, hitting Eirene with it and revealing her true identity. Despite their continued travels, it was evident from their facial expressions that they were afraid of her and that they would turn on her. After completing the quest, she quickly changed, taking on a new identity and was stand corrected seeing the wanted poster of her previous persona, but luckily she got something rare out of that adventure which was an invisible cloak. At last, she goes by Eirene Whitlock, a formerly known elf identity. She arrived at a location known as Puss Wuss and made friends with Ronjo, who would become her roommate. She simply made the decision to focus on her work, and over the course of their nearly two-year friendship, she and Ronjo grew close. Sadly, Ronjo simply vanished one day. Eirene packed up her belongings and set out on her adventure, meeting the people she is currently travelling with.
