About
Aethex is a puffball who resides in Dream Land of Pop Star, in Milky Way Wishes. He is known for his rambunctious, energetic and childish behaviour, as well as being the owner to a pair of large gunblades. He frequently gets himself into trouble unconsciously, which makes him a challenge to be around. Those that do, will oftentimes appreciate his carefree and confident nature.
Design
Aethex is a light green puffball with green eyes and blushes. He wears dark grey mechanical shoes, with a green trim and grey plating over the top. He also dons a grey cap, with mechanical fixtures to the side and back of his cap. To the side, they appear as short cylinders with circular markings in them, and jutting out from the top of them are rhombus-shaped antennae. These antennae are angled forward and 45 degrees upward, and also have a small green light fixture in their centre. Connecting both these are a pair of goggles with the visors tinted green. The back of his cap is also mechanical in appearance, with a black covering and green protrusions.
Quantum appears as dual gunblades, mechanical in nature and angled in a way that they can be used both as a sword and as a gun. Its base is a dark grey in colour, with the blade and accents being green. They can connect together via the top to form both a greatsword and a cannon. When Aethex is not using Quantum, they hover behind him, partially transparent, with a green star visible around the hilt. The gunblades do not interact with his environment when in this deactivated mode.

Aethex’s personality stands out from the rest of the cast, described simply as extroverted, confident, optimistic, resilient and outgoing. He has a very loud mouth, often blurting every thought pattern going through his mind at that moment, and acting upon them. This makes him unpredictable, and atop of his energetic and playful nature, can make him appear childish and naïve. He almost never thinks twice about his actions, never follows rules and never takes anything seriously, because he believes everything is simply a giant game setup. Due to his youthful nature, he appears to almost never run out of energy, making him a challenge to quieten down. He loves to be the centre of attention, both good and bad, as this fuels his ego.
He is a huge fan of racing, and occasionally bets mundane tasks with this. Anything that challenges him to such a thrill immediately excites him to an almost exaggerated level, and will go out of his way to win them, even if there is no reward incentive behind them. This is also his biggest weakness however; his lack of any form of patience can get him to burst into a fit of rage, and has been violent with his anger on more than a few occasions. He also is not the best team member with his kind of personality, making himself an easy target and always wanting to go his way instead of what was planned.
In times where he is required to be serious, he will act straightforwardly and determined, but this is rare for him to do.

Aethex is able to manipulate technology through the use of nanites in his bloodstream, as well as externally (from Quantum). He tells them to form a configuration through electromagnetism, and that allows him to be able to control effectively any form of technology. He can hack into computers, open sealed doors, activate or deactivate mechanisms, change the traffic lights from green to red and similar. He can also morph existing technology, using them as extensions to his body, though he cannot fuse them physiologically with his body. For example, if a mech with a machinegun attached to its arm approached him, he is able to, slowly, but heavily tear off the machinegun off its body and use it against it without even needing to touch it. This is visible with a green star-shaped hologram around whatever he has controlled.
Skills
Gunblades: His main set of weapons are dual gunblades, nicknamed Quantum. As the name suggests, he is able to use them as both swords and guns. Quantum does have an AI, but it has no programmed personality and will simply do as Aethex tells it to do. By itself, Quantum is a multipurpose weapon with multiple “forms”:
By itself, they can act as a typical one-handed sword, as well as be able to shoot energy pellets at a high speed. Each bullet in and of itself do not do a lot of damage, but combined with their fast firing rate, it can lead to stunlocking.
When combined together at the top, it becomes the Cannon Form. This form has the ability to blast a very high velocity, high powered energy beam capable of tearing through multiple buildings and destroying everything in its path for a solid 10 seconds. The downside to this is that Aethex has to wait 24 hours to be able to use this move again and he is left crippled.
Weaknesses
Aethex's biggest weaknesses are his low defence and speed output. He cannot outrun most people and requires external assistance from Quantum to flee battle scenes. Any attack stronger than a punch is enough to moderately damage him, and since he is quite reckless with his abilities, this has him injured more than he is able to deal damage. Any character who is quick or plays a hit-and-run style will easily be able to outperform Aethex.

Aethex considers Violet a good friend, but does not know she doesn't. This hasn't stopped his happiness from showering her with gifts, surprises and pride.
