Artelys Honeyshine

Though already quite gentle from before, Artelys' training as a nurse- as well as a moment as a therapist -have clearly left its train on his personality. Keeping others' wellbeing in mind, instinctively taking care of whoever may need it, and doing his best to be approachable, although well-meaning, he does come across as pushy because of it. Overreacting like a worried parent over their child, he's quick to fuss about scrapes or bruises, putting his knowledge to good use. While some dislike his intense need to help, even with the tiniest things, noone can deny his pure heart.

LIFE BEFORE MOVING

Artelys is a nurse student, who's life is occupied by studying, researching, and stress. Not to mention his horrible diet consisting of water and a cup of noodles if he had time to spare, or his sleepless schedule. In short, his life was exhausting. But such was the life of a student, and even though he could practically see his life flashing before his eyes at times with certain assignements, he enjoyed learning, finding it fascinating.

Of course, it did take it's toll quite quickly, and before he knew it, he was on the brink of a breakdown nearly every day. Finally, he decided it was about time for a break from his studies. Coming to Snaktooth Island was a random decision, as it was quite cheap and sounded interesting, so he went for it. And thus, his life on Snaktooth Island began.

LIFE AFTER MOVING

Snaktooth Island was gorgeous, if not a little terrifying. After all, it wasn't every day you saw a burger running around and screaming its name. However, as he seemed to have arrived a bit later, after a while of walking, he ended up in Snaxburg. The amount of people was a bit surprising, but he managed to settle in quite quickly nonetheless. Though he didn't care much for the loudmouth mayor, he took a liking to Eggabell and Floofty right away, seeing as they were in a somewhat similar field as him. Though he came to get away from all the stress of school, he found himself discussing it with others quite a lot.

With the help of a few other inhabitants, notably Gramble and Chandlo, he also got himself a nice little cottage after two days of living in Grambles barn. The cottage matched the other homes, but the inside was quite different. With a mix-and-match of bones he found, fairylights, images of his friends and boyfriend, a few paintings, a desk with a teapot and a frightening amount of textbooks, and a strabby shaped rug, he comfortably made his hut a home. Eventually, he even got a second story, making it more of a relaxation place, with hobby items he'd gotten as gifts, a couch, a projector, and some art supplies- though it was clear that they weren't used all that much.

NOTABLE EVENTS

- After a few days, Artelys stumbled across another grumpus who caught his eye; Myro. Once their paths had crossed once, it would take one hell of an effort to keep them apart. Not necessarily by choice, at least at first, but rather due to Myros fascinatingly terrible luck. Scraping a knee, hit in the ribs by a bunger, even being bitten by a sweetiefly- which also was the first and only time that happened. Of course, Artelys came back over and over to take care of him, giving him a lecture each time he did. Though, after a while, the lectures turned into pure worry, and their more professional conversations quickly melted into friendly banter. Myro would tell him about his day, how he got hurt, and obsess about a certain bugsnak; Artelys would talk about his day, tease him relentlessly about gettting hurt for the n'th time, and ask questions about the bugsnaks to fuel Myros obsession. It didn't take long for the two to become closer and closer, finally asking each other out, and beginning to date.

- Shortly after running into Snaxburg, Filbo scrambled to throw together a welcome party. Trying to ignore the painfully forced dancing and awkward glances all around, Artelys had to thank him for it, despite his dislike of surprises, not to mention how bad it was in the first place. Filbo, ignorant to his Artelys was silently gritting his teeth, took it as a success, and vowed to throw many more suprise dance parties in the future. And such, Artelys found himself silently avoiding the mayor, staying in his hut whenever Filbo was on a party-spree.

- Artelys sees Eggabell as a rolemodel, often going out of his way to be of help, and begging to see her work, which she endulges a lot. He often searches her out to ask for advice, or ask questions bugging his mind relating to medicine to procedures. They have a sort of 'teacher-mentor' relationship, but Artelys also does his best to emotionally suport Eggabell too.
