Magpiegaze [Elsterblick]

Magpiegaze is a beautiful and graceful she-cat with a lean body and narrow shoulders. She is smaller than the average cat who lives in the forest. Her legs still seem long proportional to the rest of her body and end in small round paws with pale pink pads and pointed claws. Her tail is long and thin. Her black and white fur is short, soft, and well-groomed. Magpiegaze has a mask-and-mantle pattern. The white fur starts at her nose and goes down the chin, throat, and chest as well as her legs and paws, while the fur around her eyes, ears, and forehead is black. The black fur then goes down her neck and back as well as her tail. This makes it look as if she is wearing a mantle with a hood or mask over her face. Small spots of white between her eyes break the mask and there is a black spot on the right side of her muzzle below the nose.

The warrior has a wedge-shaped head with a pointed muzzle that ends in a pinkish nose with a charcoal spot, on the right side where the fur around it is black. In addition, she has medium-sized triangular ears with pointed tips. Her eyes are almond-shaped and have a sapphire blue color and tend to give a confident impression.

Magpiegaze is a brave young warrior who is not afraid of taking risks to win a battle or come out on top. She's not afraid to throw herself into battle with claws unsheathed or chase a rabbit until she's managed to make her kill. She might be the cat chasing it over the border and causing a border skirmish if she has to. One could even end up convinced that it was worth it. The black-and-white she-cat can be rather charismatic and compelling when she has to. She knows how to use her words and looks to get what she wants and has talked herself out of trouble more than once. Being a good liar only helps her with that. It's a skill she has perfected over time and is willing to use when she deems it necessary. She is intelligent and a fast learner. Her pride often gets in her way by stopping her to ask others for help, but she still picks up new skills easily as if they came naturally to her. This boosts her confidence and makes others jealous of Magpiegaze at times which in turn confirms the young she-cats high views of herself. One might go as far as to say that her pride and arrogance might be the young warriors defining traits. She has confidence maybe more than can usually fit in one single cat. Truth be told Magpiegaze would hardly ever admit a weakness or that she was wrong. An apology is more than most cats can ever expect from her. She's also very ambitious and works hard to uphold her internal standards which might also feed into the fast growth of her abilities.

The young warrior isn't particularly nice to others either. She looks down on other cats she perceives as less than herself and treats them accordingly. Be it because they have outsiders' blood, are half-clan, just stupid in her opinion, or have disrespected her Magpiegaze always finds a reason to see herself above those she dislikes. And it's easy for a cat to end up on her internal blacklist. Disagreeing with the young warrior too often might land one there and she doesn't have much patience for that either. And an outsider or half-clan cat hardly has a chance to gain the same amount of respect as a pure-blooded WindClan cat. She mostly respects those who respect her, those who are perceived on the same level as her, and cats she wants to impress. And while there are cats she has some connection with some others she can be shitty or treat them like disposable accessories that are befriended to make her look better. Magpiegaze is stubborn and refuses to back down even one inch. She's not willing to change her mind or see a different side of an issue, nor is she going to take back her words. Trying to tell her what to do can mean trouble since she hates taking orders especially if she doesn't respect the cat they come from and might just ignore them. On a positive note having set a goal, she won't give up until she archived it. As bad, hard, or unfriendly as she can be sometimes her promises mean something. If she has given her word to someone she will most likely keep it. But then again, she only makes promises to cats she respects and perceives as worthy of it.

If one doesn't get in her way, doesn't annoy her, or is not looked down on for a reason they can't change (like being half-clan or of kittypet-ancestry) she can be rather peaceful and even neutral with them. Magpiegaze is usually not looking for trouble so as long as one doesn't steal her show, disrespect, or disagree with her she can be a fine interlocutor. She has a lot of interesting things to say if one can look past the fact that she might slip in a reference to herself and her abilities from time to time. Magpiegaze can be fine on those occasions and then one might even wonder why some other cats don't like her at all.
