history

Kaiser was born to Eternal Sun Towers, a colony founded in an abandoned human city still gilded with gold, residing by a sea. The kingdom worships a towering bronze statue of a winged human they named “Colossus,” a symbol of strength and the everlasting sun. The kingdom is a hot-blooded warrior society who values physical strength and battle over anything else and has won countless wars for its highly valued territory. However, the Eternal Suns reputation has kept them safe for many years.

Second-born to King Xerxes, Kaiser had always accepted their older brother, Alexander, would assume the throne after their father. Alexander trained to be the next king, focused on the protection and military for the city, while Kaiser spent his time with the citizens and became known as a very graceful and kind prince to the people of Eternal Sun.

Suddenly, King Xerxes fell ill with a fever that quickly went to scorching temperatures. The kingdom quickly determined it was Elemental Rot, a manifestation of the misbalance of the world they live in. The king’s rising temperature reached the point of burning his skin, fur scorching off in patches. The kingdom tried their best for their king, but soon they realized there was nothing they could do to help.

Prince Alexander had been prepared to take the throne after Xerxes his entire life, but Kaiser struggled with the idea of losing their father. They spent many days as close as they could be to Xerxes and reassuring citizens while Alexander prepared to be the next king.

During his last days, King Xerxes determined he would hold a ceremony at the city center and name the next king, for the people and Colossus to witness. It was his final command, and the kingdom prepared for the celebration.

At the ceremony, a weak King Xerxes announced his true choice for the throne, and unexpectedly chose Kaiser rather than Alexander. Before the shocked princes could question their father, King Xerxes was set ablaze by his Rot, burning to ashes before his sons and the kingdom.

The city was in a panic, while Kaiser was horrified, and Alexander was enraged. The older prince deemed their father’s death as a sign of disapproval from the Colossus. Alexander challenged Kaiser with a duel for the crown and determined to follow through with their beloved father’s wishes, Kaiser accepted.

The two brothers fought valiantly for what they both thought they deserved, witnessed by all the kingdom. Kaiser nearly gained the advantage over his brother, but the sky darkened to a chilling sight. In the sky, the moon blocked out the sun, reminding the world of a darkness no one had seen in many years. As Kaiser was distracted by the eclipse, Alexander gained the upper hand again, and won the crown, leaving Kaiser wounded and scarred.

Determining the blocked-out sun as another sign that Kaiser was too weak and never meant to take the throne, Alexander banished his younger sibling with no opportunity to return. So, Kaiser ran.

They ran from all that they knew, running until exhaustion from their wounds and passing out by a drying sea. The exiled prince was luckily found by two cats, named Leander and Hecaerge, who thankfully rescued him and treated his wounds. With a heavy heart, Kaiser accepted this new beginning, befriending the two cats who saved him.

Learning more about the solar eclipse from the two cats, Kaiser is determined to know the truth of the eclipse, whether it was a sign that they did not belong to their home, too weak to belong. So, the three set off in search of the night, and perhaps, for Kaiser, the strength to challenge their brother again.

"My heart meets my throat as I try and bide my time, this is all by your design, I am your son I cannot shine."

Kaiser is a courageous cat, unafraid to charge into the fray or confront things head-on. Their unwavering passion and ferocity makes them eager to tackle any challenge or embrace new companions. Despite viewing it as a personal flaw, Kaiser possesses a compassionate nature and readily extends aid to those who need it.

Fearless in the face of opposition, Kaiser confronts anything or anyone that challenges his beliefs or threatens the well-being of others. There's a certain charm to Kaiser, although their eagerness might be overwhelming to the wrong feline. Ostracized for their compassionate nature, he grapples with the complexities of his kind-heartedness, which can perplex himself and others.

Kaiser perceives themself as needing to be constantly hungering for battle, a trait forced onto them by their kingdom. Desperate to conform to the traditions of their kingdom, he judges those lacking combat skills or an eagerness for conflict. Following their father's last wishes and subsequent exile, Kaiser struggles with a moral dilemma regarding their values and feels adrift, unsure what to do next.
