King Minty

The runaway prince.

Minty was never popular, despite his status as royalty. When no one showed up for his birthday party, he broke down and ran away from his family's kingdom, living afar— though not too far away (as he wouldn't be able to survive otherwise). In his self-banishment, Minty borrowed many books from the library about demons and summoning them to the point of obsession. When he finally attempted summoning a demon, it didn't work-- however, because he was so into it, he unintentionally created an imaginary friend whom he sees as the summoned demon. Luther knows he isn't a real demon, and understands he's a figment of imagination, though that doesn't stop him from exerting his opinions. Luther is cynical and sarcastic, often attempting to be a voice of reason to the more immature Minty.

Minty has a tendency to act cartoonishly evil, drawing up grand schemes of vengeance that rarely harm anyone. When he tries to get Luther to do something demonic (like “bringing hell on earth”), Luther will refuse due to the impossibility, though Minty will ignore Luther’s refusal.
