04.11.2023 Here are all the rules you need to know when using my bases! Make sure to read the description on each base's profile as some might have additional rules! There are also slight differences in what's allowed with F2U bases and P2U bases, so be sure to read this thouroughly!!
Free to Use Bases | F2U
Rules
- Credit me when using my bases. When uploading to Toyhouse: put tanbases in an artist credit field (like this). When uploading to different platforms, please link back to the base, link back to my profile or say something along the lines of 'base by tanbases on Toyhouse'.
- Do not sell, re-post or redistribute the raw base files. If you want to share it, please share a link to the base profile instead.
- You are allowed to move, resize or recolour my signature if it gets in the way. It must stay visible on the image and may not be fully removed or intentionally made barely visible.
- You are allowed to edit the lineart to your heart's content. This includes tracing if you need to, as long as you trace my signature along with it or add a little note. Do not redistribute the edited lineart, not even for free or if credited.
You may . . .
- ...use the bases for personal use.
- ...use the bases to make adoptables and customs, which may be sold for real currency.
- ...offer free YCHs on these bases.
- ...share your finished work by linking to it in the bases' comments, or by adding it to the examples gallery. i'd love to see!
You may NOT . . .
- ...offer YCHs on these bases for which you ask anything in return (real or virtual currency, art, characters, etc.)
- ...use these bases for commissions.
- ...remove or hide my signature and/or claim the lineart to be your own.

Frequently Asked Questions | FAQ
May I share a P2U/D2U base with a friend?
- no. each person who uses the base should pay for it. you are allowed to pay for someone else, as a gift, but it's still 1x base price = 1 person.
- nor are you allowed to 'split' the money between friends and all use the bases, this again breaches the 1 person = 1x base price.
My Ko-Fi membership ended, what now?
- you may continue to use the bases you've already gotten the files for during your membership!
- you may only use these bases for personal use and adopts, you may only sell YCHs on D2U bases when you have a running membership.
- you may not request D2U base files after your membership ended, not even if those bases were released during your membership or if you used to own the files but lost them.
I found someone violating your ToS, what should I do?
- please do not engage! if you see a person breaking my rules (e.g. selling paid YCHs on a F2U) do not approach them, but me instead. just tell me what and who it's about, providing any proof if possible, and I'll deal with it.
- if I discover anyone breaking my ToS, I will contact them to clear up any possible misunderstandings. otherwise I'll likely block them where possible to restrict their access to my work.
