an octoling that found themselves in the deep sea metro, without their memory but freed from DJ Octavio's control. they go through the events of the octo expansion and are able to defeat Commander Tartar and start a new life in Inkopolis, where they find themselves still trying to get used to a non-underground lifestyle. they are still close friends with everyone on the metro, but especially Iso Padre, who was the first person they really grew close to when they first got to the metro.
they actually chose the name Gemini for themselves after defeating Commander Tartar. While riding in the helicopter to Inkopolis, they were so fascinated by the night sky that they asked Pearl, Marina, and Cap'n Cuttlefish a million questions about space and the sky and stars. they decided they would go by the name Gemini for now on, but still using the name Eight mostly because of Cap'n Cuttlefish exclusively calling them that.
